This vintage piece of baseball history is a Lou Gehrig Memorial Ticket Stub from July 4th 1941. On June 2, 1941 Lou Gehrig succumbed to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis at age 37 One month later, on July 4th, a special memorial was held at Yankee Stadium where Lou Gehrig's immortal number "4" was retired forever. The stub measures 3 3/8 X 2 1/2 inches. It has some creasing and wear, but still displays beautiful.
