This pennant was produced in anticipation of the Brooklyn Dodgers beating the N.Y. yankees in the 1949 World Series. Unfortunately, the Yankees won and the Dodgers would have to wait until 1955 to win their only World Championship in Brooklyn. This would have originally been a full sized pennaant, but we believe the pennant was clipped to avoid sale to the public. It now measures about 23.5" in length and contains a scroll of the team members on the left hand side. It's an unusual pennant (rare) and a must for any Brooklyn Dodger collector.
