This doll is from the NFL's Square NFL Embossed base Black Face series of the early 60's. Because it used the same face as the more common white face dolls- it is one of the most scrutinized series in the hobby. This one is of the Washington Redskins and it's the rarest in the series to find. It is bright and clean with no chips or cracks. It appears as though this doll has had some restoration to the back of the head. It's still a beautiful example.
