Here's another great Danbury Mint issue from their team statue series. It's of arguably one of the greatest baseball teams of all-time- the 1961 New York Yankees. This team was loaded with power and featured the home run race between Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris. Maris would hit a then record 61 home runs to break Babe Ruth's single season record. The individual player statues are mounted on a beautiful wood base that has the names of each player printed in front of the respective statues. The wood base is about 27" long and very impressive looking. We removed the statue from the shipping box for the first time for the purpose of taking these pictures. It's in mint codition and comes with all the paperwork from it's original purchase.
