9/5/69 and the cover is a New York Mets cartoon by Willard Mullin. This was his first Time cover and this New York Met, looking a bit like a Little Leaguer but hustling along like a champion. Little did we know the Mets would win the World Series in October. Inside, the little team that could with photos of fans cheering the hapless heroes, Marve Thronberry muffing a throw in 1962, Jerry Koosman, Tom Seaver, Gil Hodges, Casey Stengell-1963, and Shea Stadium. iT'S IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
