ITPC SUMMER 2009 EXTRAVAGANZA SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 8/22/2009
If you've followed our auctions over the last few years, you know that we were lucky enough to have handled a number of great pieces from our Gibbs-Conner Estate find. We held this one back because its so gorgeous that we wanted to keep it for awhile. Check this one out as it is truly a masterpiece. This one honors the 1954 Cleveland Indians who won the American League Championship by posting 111 wins. It shows the Indians mascot (Chief Wahoo) flying in a hot air ballon. The lettering declaring them champions is etched into the base. There is a finely detailed crown on the top of the baloon. This bank features amazing bright coloring. It measures about 11.75" tall and would grade near mint. This is the only one that we know exists (we did sell a slightly different variation of this bank in a previous auction). You will not be disappointed with this one.
