This early 60's nodder wasfirst released shortly after the famous 1961 home run race between Mantle & Maris. This variation is the square base version.The facial features are "spot on" perfect. This example has nice coloring with no chips or cracks. The base decal is strong. The doll would grade near mint. As a bonus, this lot comes with the doll's original box. The box label pictures Mantle and nick-names him the "King of Swat".
