VINTAGE HOME TOWN BATTERY "BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE" MECHANICAL BANK

This fantastic looking bank was first issued in the 50's as part of the Book of Knowledge series. It is a reproduction of a turn of the century bank called "Darktown Battery". This is a more politically correct version that uses white players and is titled "Home Town Battery". It is cast iron and measures 9.5" long. It has nice coloring. The bank is mechanical and the coin is tossed from the pitcher into the catcher and drops into the coin recepticle. It still works.
