We just got back from the 2011 National Sports Collectors Convention held in Chicago.  For us, the show was a rousing success. The selling was brisk everyday and we bought well too. There was tons of vintage memorabilia as well as many fine autograph guests. Everyone who attended seemed to have a good time.

Our prize purchase was an early 60's Minnesota Vikings Promotional doll. The doll was a "point of sale" merchandising tool used to sell the smaller NFL dolls of the early 60's. It stands about 13" tall. This is only the 2nd known example of the Vikings promo.
